A two-hour meeting with a Partner of a typical local firm of Solicitors can cost you £400.00. Even very simple letters or telephone calls will cost a minimum of £20.00 and just dealing with basic correspondence can easily average £80 - £120.00 per day. Even work handled by a trainee will typically be charged at £100.00 per hour. If formal proceedings are commenced, the costs can escalate dramatically for both sides as various formal documents will need to the prepared and exchanged. A brief hearing at Court can cost between £300-£500 and if a full days hearing is required, the legal costs including representation by a Barrister could easily add a further £3,000.00 to your bill.
CIVIL/BUSINESS CONFLICT (including Workplace Mediation)
Our charge for mediation is £250.00 + VAT per half day per party
If the case is complex, a nominal charge may be made for the prior review of all documents/papers based on an hourly rate of £75.00
FAMILY MATTERS
Our charge for each hourly session is limited to £85.00 + VAT per person
Our aim is to reach a satisfactory agreement within three or four sessions
